OFFERINGS INDEX

Disclosure

Transparency is central to how we operate. This page explains our commercial relationships, how we make editorial decisions, what standards we hold ourselves to, and what it all means for you as a reader and visitor.

Who we are

OFFERINGS INDEX is an independent curated index of services and offers. Our purpose is to help people discover and understand their options through clear, honest, information-first content — without pressure, hidden agendas, or misleading claims. We are not a provider of any product or service listed on the site, and we do not process transactions, handle payments, or earn money directly from you as a visitor.

Everything we publish is written by us. Content is not submitted for approval by providers, and providers cannot edit, amend, or veto any listing. Our role is to present services and offers clearly and honestly so that visitors can make their own informed decisions.

How we sustain the platform

OFFERINGS INDEX is completely free to browse — there are no subscriptions, paywalls, accounts required, or fees of any kind. To fund the ongoing work of researching, writing, updating, and maintaining the index, we may have commercial arrangements with some of the providers featured on the site.

Specifically, when a visitor clicks through from one of our listing pages to a provider's website and takes a qualifying action — such as requesting a quote, submitting an enquiry form, signing up for a service, or completing a purchase — we may receive a referral fee or commission from that provider. This model is commonly referred to as affiliate marketing or performance-based marketing, and it is a widely used commercial arrangement for content and discovery platforms.

Not every provider on the index has a commercial arrangement with us. We include offers and services that we believe are genuinely useful and worth knowing about, regardless of whether a commercial relationship exists. The absence of a commercial relationship does not diminish a listing, just as the presence of one does not elevate it.

How commercial arrangements affect the index

We want to be fully transparent about where commercial considerations do and do not play a role:

  • Editorial content: the written content of every listing — the overview, benefits, process description, key considerations, and FAQ — is written by us to be accurate, fair, and informative, regardless of any commercial relationship with the provider. We do not accept payment to write favourable reviews, inflate descriptions, or omit important caveats.
  • Listing inclusion: we do not charge providers to be listed on the index. Our primary criteria for including a listing are that the offer is genuine, relevant, and potentially useful to the people using this platform. We reserve the right to decline or remove any listing that we do not believe meets our editorial standards.
  • Ordering and placement: in some cases, the order in which offers appear on a category page or within the broader index may reflect commercial considerations — for example, offers where a commercial relationship exists may appear earlier in a listing. Where this is the case, it affects positioning only, not the quality or accuracy of the underlying content.
  • Ratings: where a numerical rating is displayed on a listing, this reflects our editorial assessment of the offer based on publicly available information and general market context. Ratings are not influenced by commercial arrangements and cannot be purchased or negotiated by providers.

What we will never do

We hold ourselves to a clear set of commitments that we consider non-negotiable. Regardless of any commercial arrangement, we will never:

  • Accept payment from a provider to write a positive, favourable, or biased description of their service.
  • Knowingly publish inaccurate information about any offer or provider.
  • Suppress or omit material information that a reasonable person would want to know before engaging with a service.
  • Allow a provider to review, approve, edit, or veto editorial content before it is published.
  • Disguise commercial content as independent editorial content without disclosure.
  • Inflate ratings or present an offer in a misleading way to increase click-through rates.

If we ever fail to live up to these commitments, we want to hear about it. Please contact us at hello@offeringsindex.com.

Your cost is never affected

Any referral fee or commission we receive is paid entirely by the provider — not by you. The prices, fees, and terms you encounter when you click through to a provider's website are set by that provider independently of us. Clicking through from OFFERINGS INDEX does not increase the price you pay, add any hidden charges, or create any obligation on your part. You remain entirely free to explore, compare, and decide on your own terms.

Some providers we feature may offer promotional rates, limited-time pricing, or other offers that are only available through specific referral sources. Where this results in a benefit to you, that benefit comes from the provider's own commercial decision and is not conditioned on you purchasing or committing to anything.

Plain summary: OFFERINGS INDEX is free to use. We may earn referral fees from some providers when visitors engage with them after clicking through from our listings. This never affects what you pay, and our editorial content is always written to inform — not to sell. We do not accept payment to write biased content, and providers have no editorial control over how their services are described.

Our editorial process

When we add a new listing to the index, we research the offer using publicly available information — including the provider's own website, publicly available reviews, consumer guidance resources, and general market knowledge. We write each listing from scratch based on this research, structured to answer the questions that people most commonly have about that type of service.

We periodically review existing listings to check for significant changes to pricing, terms, availability, or the provider's offering. Where we identify a material change, we update the listing. That said, provider information can change faster than we can monitor it, and we strongly encourage you to verify current terms and pricing directly with any provider before taking action.

Third-party providers

Every offer on the index links to an independent third-party provider. We are not the provider of any service listed on the site. We have no control over a provider's pricing, availability, terms, customer service quality, or any other aspect of how they operate. Once you leave OFFERINGS INDEX and arrive on a provider's website, that provider's own terms and conditions, privacy policy, and service standards apply.

We recommend reviewing any provider's terms carefully before making a commitment, particularly for financial products, insurance, or any long-term service agreement. If a provider changes something material — their pricing, their terms, their eligibility requirements — after we have published a listing, our content may not reflect that change immediately. Our listings are a starting point for your research, not a substitute for reading the provider's own documentation.

FTC and advertising standards compliance

In accordance with the guidelines of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and equivalent advertising standards bodies in other jurisdictions, we disclose that OFFERINGS INDEX may receive compensation when visitors click through to provider websites and take qualifying actions. This page constitutes our general disclosure, and by using the site you acknowledge that commercial relationships of the kind described here may exist. We are committed to meeting and exceeding applicable transparency and disclosure standards.
